Sadly, I didn't think to take a picture of Bennie in the little carrier I used to bring him home. The plastic crate I had initially planned to use was too small. He cried for three miles before I realized I had forgotten the toy with his mom's and brother's scent. When I called Connie to ask if I could turn around and pick up the toy, she heard him crying and had a soft carrier big enough for him to turn around in, and several other goodies to keep him occupied on the trip home, ready to go when I pulled up the drive. So, I don't have pictures to show of our drive, but he did a great job. He slept for most of the car ride.
It didn't take him long to get settled. The first night, I decided to have him sleep in his crate instead of in a box by my bed. He cried for about 10 minutes and then settled down.
Our typical schedule puts us to bed around 10:00pm and up at 6:00am, with one break outside around 12:30am. Here are a couple photos of Bennie on his first night at home.
Here he is playing with his duck.
Here he is sleeping off the long car ride home.
