Welcome to Bennie's blog! This blog is intended to update family and friends on Bennie's progress as he grows into a loving, doggy-companion.
Currently, his favorite activities are eating, chewing on me (hands and forearms mostly, but he nips me a few times a day in the tendon behind my knee cap), meeting new people, diving into piles of snow (thankfully Washington, D.C. has gotten plenty of snowfall this year), finding treasures on the ground to put in his mouth, crashing into me when he's outside running around, and anything that when I say "leave it" earns him a treat.
His least favorite things are me digging the treasures out of his mouth, going outside when he's inside, and going inside when he's outside.
Bennie's training is also coming along very well. He can already come, sit, speak, and walk pretty well on a leash. We are working very hard on house training, the "leave it" command (which is becoming more and more reliable), shush, off, down, and stay. He's learned all of this in just two weeks AND before putting a single paw in a puppy class!
So, with that introduction, I would like to present: BENNIE!
Here are some photos from early January when I went to visit the puppies. Bennie (the red ribbon puppy) spent a good chunk of time during my visit curled up on me sleeping.
It looked something like this:

And even this (with two of his brothers):
Here is a photo of me feeling his paw. At that point, they hadn't spent long periods of time outdoors so his paw-pads were like soft velvet!
